kinds of angels
since mahilig ako sa angel...as in collectors ako ng mga figurines or any forms of these...post ko muna yong different kinds of angels...this is according to bible
The Bible mentions 4 different kinds of angels:The angel of the Lord, the archangel, seraphim, and cheribum.Thrones, dominions, prinicpalities, and powers may be angels as well.
The angel of the Lord is God Himself. Moses saw Him in a burning bush.Exodus 3:2 & 6 "And the Angel of The LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fireout of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed. Moreover he said, I [am] the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob."He created and rules over all others.
The archangel Michael exiled the devil and his fallen angels out of heaven for rebelling against God.He battles the same rogues today; and will inevitably crush them all. (Romans 16:20)Michael will lead miriads of other angels in the battle of Armageddon.1 Thessalonians 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with thevoice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first."(Daniel 10:21; Daniel 12:1: Ephesians 1:21)
Gabriel's name means "man of God". God trusts him so much that He chose him to announcethe very birth of Jesus, at which time he introduced himself in no uncertain terms:"I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God."(Luke 1:19) He always brought good news.In 1 Thessalonians 4:16 the term "trump of God" suggests Gabriel will herald Armageddon, the battle to end all wars, all evil, all suffering and death.
Mentioned only in Isaiah 6, verses 2, 3, 6 & 7 as 6-winged creatures whofly above the Lord's throne, chanting His praises:"Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts, the whole earth is full of His Glory".When sent by God to inflict the righteous penalty of sin, they're called "fiery serpents".(Numbers 21:6,8; Deuteronomy 8:15; Isaiah 14:29; 30:6)The winged living creatures in Revelation 4:5 may be seraphim and cherubim.
1 Samuel 4:4 The Lord is "enthroned between the cherubim" on the Ark Of The Covenant.(also: 2 Kings 19:15; Psalms80:1; Psalms 99:1)
Psalm 18:10 The Lord "mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind."Cheribum guarded the garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were exiled.Genesis 3:24 "So He drove out the man; and placed at the east of the garden of EdenCherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life".
God promised to commune with Moses "from between the cherubim." (Genesis 25:22)Figures of cherubim with outspread wings adorned the following holy places:*the mercy seat of the Ark Of The Covenant, where the Lord was present with His people *the most holy place in Solomon's temple*the veil that enclosed the most holy place*the curtains of the tabernacle*the temple walls and doors.(Exodus 25:10-22; 26;1 & 31; 1 Kings 6:23-35; 2 Chronicles 3:14).Hebrews 9:5 is the only New Testament verse mentioning cheribum.

bible facts
Bible Facts About AngelsWe often refer to people we love as angels. But the Bible refers only to spirit beings as angels. There are many fairy tales about angels. But God's Word is no fairy tale!We can trust the Bible, which mentions angels over 300 times.Doubters of the Bible might doubt that angels exist, having never seen one.Yet we don't doubt that air exists, even though we can't see it.Many very real things are unseen and unheard. The naked eye can see but a fraction of the full spectrum of light. The naked ear can hear but a fraction of all the frequencies of sound.
God Himself is an angel, the angel of the Lord, a spirit being.John 4:24 "God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and in truth."God created all other spirit beings and all physical beings. Colossians 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible"He is the supreme One. No other angel is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent. Although angels are far superior to humans, no angel other than God is all-knowing, almighty,or able to be more than one place at once. God is the only angel worthy of worship. (Colossians 2:18, Revelation 22:8-9)Angels, created only one level above humans, have vastly superior abilities:(Hebrews 2:7-9, Hebrews 12:22; Revelation 5:11)Angels do not die; and humans can, through Christ, gain the ability to live forever.Luke 20:36 "Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels;and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection." Furthermore, redeemed humans will be elevated above angels:1 Corinthians 6:3 "Do you not know that we are to judge angels?"
